Some call her a desert rat, and she would have to agree!  Lisa is from the southeast valley of Arizona, the Mesa area to be exact, but now resides in Kirkland, Washington with her husband and two kids.

“My dad was the photographer of the family (poor dad, we never wanted our pictures taken and certainly never wanted to wait for him to take pictures) until I picked up a camera in high school and began my love affair with pictures.  Throughout the following years, I continued to carry my camera to capture whatever the moment had in store and now have several books that tell my stories.  I never understood why dad would stop to take a picture of a blooming flower or a reflection.  Now, I get it.  There is nothing that drives me quite like ‘getting the shot.’”

Lisa was headed toward education as a career and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1998.   Shortly after trying her hand at teaching young ones, she decided to further her education and received a Master of Business Administration in 2002.  She loves to learn and hopes to go back to school for more education!

“Over the next several years I continued to learn more about myself and two things are for certain: I love photography and I love business.  I have fallen in love and out of love with several things throughout my life but those two remain constant.  I am continually seeking ways to improve my craft and my business! Of all the things I have studied, photography is what has a hold on me!  I wouldn’t stay up late thinking about chocolate, well maybe… but it is these loves that keeps me thinking, growing, and evolving!”

Lisa says, “I love jeans and t-shirts, necklaces and flip flops.  I am a thirty something mother of 2 awesomely awesome kids who love to challenge me every day.  I recently moved to Kirkland, WA (from AZ) where flip flops may become a part of my past.  I love to learn and be inspired.  I love to hear the music.  I love a good nap.  I love to play, laugh, read, sing, exercise, photograph, walk, travel, and be me. I am an ambitious, fun seeker, light-hearted, sometimes spontaneous, short and crazy haired girl.  I want to learn everything, read everything, study everything…  that’s just me and how I roll. I am in love with images that portray emotion and personality and  I want to capture real moments, real feelings and real people in your life and loves.  My style is funky, fresh, and fun with a passion for candid shots that reveal your and your family’s uniqueness.  If this is what you are looking for… well then, I’m your gal!”

Lisa is available for family, senior, and children portraiture anywhere in King County, Washington or in the Mesa/Gilbert area in Arizona.  For information about traveling to other areas, you can contact her by using the “contact” tab on this site or email her at lisa@lisaheuerphotography.com.
